Kali, the destroyer of the Ego. She wears a garland of skulls around her neck and a skirt of arms – symbolizing that the ego is created from identification with the body, and thus destroying of the ego can be done by releasing our attachments to our physical body. She is seen standing atop Lord Shiva – the two being counterparts destroying unreality.
This is an old brass piece from Northern India.
