Description
A vintage Buddhist wall from central Java. Hand carved from lava stone some years ago. With Buddha seated in the stella in the center of the wall. Many followers carrying fruit and offering sitting around him. We had request the stone artist make a base specific for it. You can see the stone difference shown in the pictures. The newly made base also hand carved from lava stone. With very smooth surface and straight outline. The wall sitting atop new stone base brings an old-time serene feeling into the area.
This paticular Buddhist wall is from the village few hours away from Borobudur. Which most villagers and their ancestors build temples around the area since ancient time. Using the lava stone coming directly from the area. Mount Merapi is an active stratovolcano located on the border between the province of Central Java and the Special Region of Yogyakarta.
