Guan Yin with Vase-Lenience

White Marble Guan Yin, (also known as Quan-Yin or Kuan-Yin). This one was hand carved in Vietnam. The old master’s hard work on marble shows her beautiful facial lines and the robe delicate details. Part of the white marble shows a hint of greenish blue color, which is natural because of the mineral in the marble. This one’s face shows a serene and peaceful feeling.

Guan Yin is the equivalent term for Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva.

She is also the Buddhist bodhisattva associated with compassion in the East Asian world.
