Description
An amazing half of life size Taoist god Jade Emperor on his chariot. Along with a fairy driving the horse-drawn carriage. All the horses, god figures could date back to 18th century. Hand carved from wood with very detailed work. Originally gilded in gold, but lost paint and repainted multiple times as shown in pictures. The chariot is made of vintage hand carved red-gold lacquer wall pieces. A magnificent hand carved lacquer umbrella on the back of the chariot.
A lively piece to show Jade emperor go around places. Checking how people do and help as needed. Antique piece with reconstruction work done, condition shown as pictures. A very rare find that we come across. One of a kind.
