Description
Hand carved from teak wood. This magnificent over seven feet long dragon was originally atop a drum stand in a hsaing waing. The hsaing waing also spelt as saing waing, commonly dubbed the Burmese traditional orchestra (မြန်မာ့ဆá€á€¯á€„်း), is a traditional Burmese folk musical ensemble. There are multiple pieces of wood carving to form this amazing dragon. Each piece is well lacquer with gold and hand crafted all the mirrors. This piece is lacked of a wing, and the back claw is broken and imperfect. Kindly check the photographs for better details. Please noted that the price has reflected the imperfection.
Originally from Burma. We got this beautiful piece from a private Burmese antique collector. It is supporting by two Iron Stand to show its magnificence. It was as an antique art piece without the drum stand when he got it. One of a kind.
