Old Korean large wood pharmacy use apothecary. Originally arrived in the states in the 1970’s.
The original owner was a Korean herbal medicine doctor. Left Korea in the 70’s, then settled down in New York in the 1990’s. He brought over and used the apothecary during his practice years. The aromas and some of the herbal medicine could still be found in many drawers when we got it.
The chest was made outside of Seoul in Korea. Made in three levels and stack on top of each other. The bottom level has sliding door area for medication tools. A rare one of a kind piece that was used in Korean herbal pharmacy in the states.
