Description
Antique bronze temple gong. Estimated about 100 years old or slightly more. Although these gongs look very similar to singing bowls, they only meant to be struck when played. This gong is hand hammered from black bronze. The type of gongs are typically used for prayer chanting and mediation in Buddhist temples . They are also commonly used in Japanese zen practice therefor they are also called zen kesu gongs.
