Durga Atop Mahishasura Buffalo Brass

Description

In this sculpture Durga stands atop the defeated demon Mahishasura.  The demon is the spirit rising from the buffalo. Lost wax cast, and hand finished with a beautiful polish.  Made in Indonesia.

Durga is the warrior form of Parvati. Also known as a fierce form of the protective mother goddess.
