Description
White Marble Guan Yin, (also known as Quan-Yin or Kuan-Yin). This one was hand carved in Vietnam. The old master’s hard work on marble shows her beautiful facial lines and the robe delicate details. Part of the white marble shows a hint of greenish blue color, which is natural because of the mineral in the marble. One of our favorite picks of the year.
Guan Yin is the equivalent term for Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva. She is also the Buddhist bodhisattva associated with compassion in the East Asian world.
