Description
Hand carved Ganesha out of one piece of sandstone. While sandstone is typically seen as a tan color, this sandstone piece from Jodhpur, India has a red coloring due to the presence of iron oxide within its structure. Ganesha is depicted holding his broken tusk in one hand an a delicacy in the other. The back of the piece is flat, and the piece may need to be supported to maintain stability. There are two of these pieces we have that are quite similar, originating from the same source in India. If you are interested, please email us for current availability and shipping options. Although the pieces are sandstone, they are able to remain outdoors.
