A 16” length kris. The kris or keris is a distinctive, asymmetrical dagger from the Java, Indonesia. It was made with alternating laminations of iron and nickelous iron (pamor) to form the fluid pattern on the blade. Each blade has its own unique pattern. When we got it, it came with no sheath. Sell as current condition without sheath.
An asymmetrical dagger of the Malay people. A sanctified heirloom “Pusaka” of a family in Indonesia and Malaysia, it is a spiritual object possessing magical powers and representing the lineage of a family. The blades are folded hundreds of times and made of iron and nickel. Unesco has put the kris on its list of “masterpieces of oral and intangible heritage of humanity.”
