Hand carved red lava stone Vishnu. One of the principal deities of Hinduism. Known as “The Preserver” within the Trimurti. The Hindu trinity that includes Brahma and Shiva. The items he holds in various hands varies, giving rise to twenty four combinations of iconography, each combination representing a special form of Vishnu.
Sculpture is in standing pose with lots of details. A truly magnificent work on an old lava stone piece.
