Old lost wax cast fertility goddess Dewi Sri. Standing on top of a round lotus base. Hand cast around 1980. Lots of details on her robe and crown. Dewi Sri or Shridevi is the goddess of rice and fertility. Widely worshiped on the islands of Java, Bali and Lombok, Indonesia. The mythology of Dewi Sri is native to Java and Sunda and Hinduism since early first century. She was equated with the Hindu goddess Shri Lakshmi. Regarded as an incarnation or one of her manifestations. This can be outside in all weather. Only one piece.
