A wonderful Korean celadon gourd shape tea pot in Goryeo style, early 20th century. With a smooth vine like handle, cranes allover the pot, it’s truly elegant and poetically low key at the same time.

The celadon ceramics produced in ancient Korea during the Goryeo Dynasty (918-1392 CE). With a pale green luster of jade and a super smooth glaze. The value of older celadon (pre-1950) is based primarily on its age, uniqueness, skill, and preservation. Modern celadon that was made after the re-birth, valued by its beauty, uniqueness, and the fame of the artisan who made it. Goryeo celadons remain some of the most prized collector’s items in the world of ceramics.
