Magnificent lost wax cast brass Pavati torso which has an antique green patina and on black stand. This particular Parvati is in eight arms form and wearing a conical shaped crown. she has 8 hands that hold a lotus, an elephant goad, a sword,  a copy of the vedas… with her final hand in the varada mudra granitng boons to her devotees.

Parvati also known as Uma and Gauri, is the Hindu goddess of power, energy, nourishment, harmony, love, beauty, devotion, and motherhood. Along with Lakshmi and Sarasvati, she forms the Tridevi. Parvati is the consort of Shiva. She is a primordial goddess in Hinduism. Parvati and Shiva have taken many incarnations and divine forms together. For Hindus, she is considered to be the divine energy between a man and a woman.

Parvati is a powerful, primordial mother goddess, and also has several fearsome forms and killed evil beings in forms such as Gauri, Durga, Kali, the ten Mahavidyas, and the Navadurgas. Parvati, the gentle aspect of Devi Shakti, is usually represented as fair, beautiful, and benevolent. She depicted alongside Shiva generally appears with two arms, but when alone she may be depicted having four or eight.
