Hand crafted creamic Ganesha. In a sitting form with his trunk turns on his left atop of the lotus base.
Ganesha is Vighneshvara, the Lord of Obstacles, both of a material and spiritual order. Popularly worships as a remover of obstacles.
Ganesha’s head and trunk represent “Om”. The cosmic sound from the world was created. Om is a sacred syllable used as a mantra in Hinduism and Buddhism. Written in Sanskrit, “Om” looks like an elephant’s head and trunk.
In sculpture the position of Lord Ganesha’s trunk, there are symbolic meanings. If the trunk turns to the Ganesh’s left, that is the direction for success in the world. To his right, the trunk represents moksha, good for renouncing the world.
