Description
The Bizen Sake Tokkuri is fired to volcanic temperatures in a traditional Japanese kiln called ” Anagama”. Composed of 3 clay types that have been hand formed and wheeled.
The kiln is fired for long periods with flames up to 45 feet. Although no glaze is used the high temperature melts the wood ash and forms spontaneous markings on the surface of the pieces making each one unique and special.
This piece was made by a local artist who used the fuel wood from Asiabarong’s international art shipment.
Dimensions: 6″ x 6″ x 9″
