This figure belongs to a group of stone sculptures of Hindu deities. Found in Khmer territories in Cambodia. The figure portray Shiva in anthropomorphic form, an unusual representation in Khmer art.

Khmer sculpture refers to the stone sculpture of the Khmer Empire, which ruled a territory based on modern Cambodia, but rather larger, from the 9th to the 13th century. The most celebrated examples are those found in Angkor. Angkor was the seat of the empire.

Note: This sculpture Shiva’s head came broken and is just sitting on top of the body. It remains in  the condition it was received.
