Description
A rare Korean hand made rice storage bandaji chest. The upper part opens from the top for harvest rice storage. Often put charcoal at the bottom cabinet in order to keep the chest in a dry storage condition. Beautiful wood grain shows throughout the whole cabinet. Simple elegant hardware and handles for the pair of doors, and the brass piece for where the counter top opens up. A beautiful etch brass fish in front of the chest. Likely made around 1950’s.
