Description
This is a ritual Tibetan ceremonial dragon horn trumpet (Dbang Dung). The trumpet is constructed from hand raised and worked from elements of beaten sheet copper and brass. Known as a ‘Dbang Dung’, the trumpet curves and slightly tapers along the overall length. An ornate brass mouth-piece is mounted at the upper extreme. A brass dragon head forms the opening – the surface finished with tooled and chiseled detail.
There is an attached chain that can be used to hang the horn. The bell of the horn is shaped in the form of the head of Makara the sea dragon and detailed with eyes, horns and protruding tongue.
They are usually limited in their melodic range, so they are most commonly used for signaling. A beautiful piece that will make an excellent addition to your alter or any room in your house.
It is made from brass and copper, and we only have one piece available.
