Old Timor hair ornament hand carved on bone. A beautiful piece of ethnic tribal jewelry. One of a kind. This is from the nation of Timor. Though we got it in Indonesia.
Dimensions: 0.75″ x 7.5″ x 10.5″ (11.25″ on the stand)
Note: NO animals were harmed in the making of the piece. The bone from this carving come from the water buffalo, pigs, horses, goats that die of natural course or as food resource. The people there respect and revere the animals, and after harvesting the animals to feed their families, they use every part of the animal, including the bones in this case. As a way to honor the animal’s life and their culture.
